Continue shoppingThree relief artworks commissioned for Perle Hotels Ltd. The Perle Oban & the Marmalade Hotel, on the beautiful Isle of Skye. Two of the designs are based on contour maps of the local landscape and coastline with the layers representing 50m intervals from sea level to the peak of the Cuillin Hills. Wave patterns and ferry lines differentiate sea from land. Constructed from natural birch ply with charred cut edges, the panels project from the wall to allow for LED halo lighting behind. The third relief is for the reception at the Marmalade hotel, referencing slices of citrus fruit, cut from birch ply and finished in spattered, metallic paint finishes; positioned on stand-offs and constructed with an integral birch ply frame. All measuring approx. W2000 x H1700mm
