An impressive multi-media textile installation and a bespoke wall covering for this race-course hotel in Scotland. The galloping horse is the central, double faced, woven feature of a wire-mesh screen that divides the reception and lounge bar areas. We built a framework in the centre of the studio to hold the W4000mm screen taught and allow access to both sides. The horse was skilfully woven directly onto the mesh with a palette of coloured cords, (used in the interior design scheme) carefully hidden knots and finishing. The screen was transported to site and installed to a readily made timber framework. The digital wall mural, created for the hotels meeting room, was inspired by jockey racing silks.
